Easter Parade

This is a beautiful yellow Swiss batiste overdress with many elegant touches to see.

The yoke of the dress is partially hand smocked in a very simple geometric design on a white Swiss batiste insert with yellow thread. It is adorned by a round collar made from cotton organdy with a tulip like lace insert design and edged with a small floral venise lace.

The dress bottom edge is adorned with 2 moderately sized rows of tucks which are decorated with a picot stitch in matching yellow. A bit further down on the bottom are arches of roses embroidered in an effect mimicking the scalloped bottom hem which is then edged in a gathered white lace.

The under skirt is made from a white cotton batiste and edged in a double row of gathered lace which shows just below the scalloped hem.

This is a beautiful addition to any little girls’ wardrobe.
